Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 27, 2025
Flowjin Inc. (“we”, “our” or “us”) provides the Flowjin mobile and web application (the “Service”). We wrote this updated Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, store and share information — including Google account information and data obtained through YouTube API Services — and to meet the requirements of Google’s privacy‑policy guidelines. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy and agree to Flowjin’s Terms of Service and to YouTube’s Terms of Service, which govern your use of the YouTube functionality we provide .
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
When you register or use the Service we ask for personally identifiable information such as your full name, email address, country of residence, social media handle and date of birth. We retain this information to create and manage your account, provide customer support and improve the Service. If you sign in with Google, we use Google Sign‑in to authenticate you. Google supplies us with your first name, last name, full name, email address, company domain and profile photo (collectively, “Google Account Data”). You can choose whether to provide optional information; however, some features may not work without certain data.
1.2 Data from YouTube and Google APIs
If you choose to connect your YouTube account, we request authorization through Google’s OAuth process for scopes that allow us to upload videos to your channel and access view‑only analytics. In line with Google’s minimum‑scope requirement, we request only the permissions required to implement these features . Once you grant permission, we receive:
- YouTube channel information (such as channel ID and available upload permissions);
- Video upload and management data required to publish videos you create on Flowjin to your channel;
- Aggregated, non‑personal view and engagement metrics for videos you have published through Flowjin. We use only metrics available via YouTube’s official API and do not calculate or infer new metrics .
We do not access or store your YouTube login credentials. You can revoke our access at any time through Google’s Security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). If you revoke access, we stop requesting your data and delete any stored YouTube data associated with your account .
1.3 Log data and cookies
To help diagnose errors and understand how the Service is used, we collect log information provided by your device (IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use and other statistics). Third‑party libraries may use cookies to collect information to improve their services. You can instruct your device or browser to refuse cookies; however, some functionality may be limited. Flowjin does not use cookies for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
Our use of personal and Google user data is limited to providing and improving user‑facing features . Specifically, we use your data to:
- Authenticate and manage accounts. We use your Google Account Data to create and maintain your account on Flowjin.
- Publish videos to YouTube. When you choose to publish a video, we send your video content and any metadata you provide (title, description, tags) to YouTube. We do not alter your data without your explicit consent .
- Display analytics. We retrieve aggregated view counts and engagement statistics from YouTube’s API and display them in your Flowjin dashboard. We do not combine YouTube analytics with metrics from other platforms without clearly distinguishing the sources .
- Communicate with you. We may send notifications about your videos, account, or changes to the Service. You can opt out of non‑essential communications.
- Improve the Service. We analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, improve performance and develop new features. When possible, we use aggregated or de‑identified information.
We do not sell your data or use it for targeted, personalized or retargeted advertising . Our use of Google user data complies with Google’s Limited Use requirements .
3. How We Share or Disclose Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We may share data with vendors who host our servers, process payments, provide analytics or help us operate the Service. They may access personal data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to use it for other purposes .
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of users or others .
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we may transfer your information as part of that transaction, but we will ask for your consent if required by law .
We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to providing or improving the Service (such as targeted advertising, determining credit‑worthiness or selling to data brokers) .
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above or to comply with legal obligations. We retain:
- Account data while your account is active. If you deactivate your account or request deletion, we will delete or de‑identify your data within a reasonable time.
- YouTube data only while you have granted us permission. If you revoke access through Google’s Security settings or close your Flowjin account, we will delete all stored YouTube channel information and analytics associated with you within 30 days .
- Log data for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes, after which it is aggregated or anonymized.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will accommodate such requests unless we need to keep the data for legitimate business or legal reasons .
5. Security
We employ commercially reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal and Google user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction . These include encryption in transit, access controls, and secure development practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction. You can access and update most of your personal data by logging into your account.
- Revoking Google authorization. You may revoke our access to your Google account data at any time via Google’s security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Once revoked, we will stop accessing your data and delete any previously stored data as described above .
- Opt‑out of communications. You can opt out of non‑essential communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in the messages.
- Delete your account. You can contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data .
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete the data.
8. Third‑Party Links
Our Service may contain links to other websites not operated by Flowjin. If you click on a third‑party link, you will be directed to that site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit, because we do not control and are not responsible for third‑party content, privacy policies or practices.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy. If the changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, via the Service or by email) and seek your consent if required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
